About Brynildsen AS
Brynildsen AS was formed on 1 January 2001 and in the space of just a few years it has succeeded in developing an excellent range of product concepts. This has resulted in substantial sales volumes and distribution to all the Norwegian chains in the grocery and catering markets.
Our turnover in 2009 was NOK 100 million, 95 per cent of which comprised products that we purchase at a fixed price and for which we are in charge of importation, customs clearance, invoicing, negotiations with the chains, marketing and sales work. The remaining five per cent are products for which we are responsible for activities in the chains and merchandising.
The company has a very modern and efficient EDI and accounting system based on Navision and an ASP solution. All products are delivered weekly from the manufacturer/supplier to the country's approx. 60 wholesalers and organised through a third-party system for order processing in the SAP system.
It is important for Brynildsen to have a small, cost-effective organisation. A number of administrative functions have also been outsourced, such as computer administration and accounting.
The sales organisation consists of approx. 80 staff organised in 11 sales districts who work a total of approx. 60 man-years. Communication and follow-up are carried out using state-of-the-art sales monitoring systems based on the use of PCs, e-mail and the Arawin sales data system. This allows us to follow sales per product in a simple and efficient manner, broken down to the level of individual sellers and shops.
Brynildsen AS's organisation has widespread market experience in addition to extensive know-how and good contacts in the import trade. Today, our products are represented in all the chains and have a sound position in their product segments. Brynildsen is category leader in several of its product categories.

This enables us to develop and promote product categories in close cooperation with the trade.
